Mt. Zion Lutheran Church
Greenfield, Wisconsin
"Those who trust in the Lord are like Mt. Zion,
which cannot be moved, but abides forever"
(Psalm 125:1)
Mt. Zion
is a congregation of those gathered by the Spirit of the Lord around His
saving Word and Sacraments. At the center of our life together is
the divine service of Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God who takes away the
sins of the world. By His holy cross and resurrection, we are given
forgiveness and new life in His name. We joyfully hold to the teachings
of the Scriptures as they are confessed in the Small Catechism of Martin
Luther, the Augsburg Confession, and the entire Book of Concord of 1580.
We invite you to share
with us in these gifts and so to grow in the grace and knowledge of our
Savior Jesus Christ. Through Him we are called out of darkness into
God's marvelous light.
"You have come to Mt. Zion and to the city
of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem,
to an innumerable company of angels,
to the general assembly and church of the firstborn
who are registered in heaven,
to God the Judge of all,
to the spirits of just men made perfect,
to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant,
and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks
better things than that of Abel." (Hebrews 12:22-24)
